“And what, monks, is that path, that way of attaining final Nibbana without clinging? It is this Noble Eightfold Path; that is, right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right concentration. This is the path, the way for the fading away of lust.”

Fall Family Work Weekend Retreat

Thursday, August 16 to Sunday, August 19, 2018
(3 nights)

Register

Level: Any
What does Any mean?

Teacher: Monastic Community

This is an opportunity for families and friends to come to Bhavana and help with maintenance chores, painting, clearing paths and kuti, etc.  All are welcome to join in this casual retreat.  Scheduled group chores will be the focal point of this weekend retreat along with meditation sessions and Dhamma talks. Please note, this is not a typical retreat schedule in that the work periods will be throughout most of the day time hours and this retreat will not be in silence while the work periods are in session.  Our monastic community will share in leading the Dhamma talks and Q & A’s periods.

Please note, if a Retreat Registration becomes active during holidays or weekends, we may not be able to ‘get back to you’ about your retreat registration request until the next business day.  Thank you for your understanding.

Registration opens at 3:00pm in the Dining Hall. Please arrive to allow enough time to complete registration here and settle in before the retreat begins. All retreats end after lunch on the last day.
Although every retreat is slightly different here is a typical retreat daily schedule.
