“So too, monks, I saw the ancient path, the ancient road traveled by the Perfectly Enlightened Ones of the past. And what is that ancient path, that ancient road? It is just this Noble Eightfold Path; that is, right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration.”

Teacher: Private Resident Retreat Closed to Public

Throughout the year, residents of the Bhavana Society support the public in offering a wide variety of retreat experiences.  For the months of January and February, volunteers are needed to support these residents in having their own retreat.  We are seeking folks who can commit to being at Bhavana for a week or more to provide basic support mainly in the mornings.  Volunteers can expect to spend 3-4 hours per day working, with plenty of time to read and meditate.  We request only volunteers who have frequented Bhavana participating in multiple retreats.  If interested, please contact our office for details.

Registration opens at 3:00pm in the Dining Hall. Please arrive to allow enough time to complete registration here and settle in before the retreat begins. All retreats end after lunch on the last day.
Although every retreat is slightly different here is a typical retreat daily schedule.
