“There is, monks, an unborn, unbecome, unmade, unconditioned. If, monks, there were no unborn… no escape would be discerned from what is born, become, made, conditioned. But because there is an unborn…, therefore an escape is discerned from what is born, become, made, conditioned.”

Teacher: Monastic Community

This retreat is designed for youth to learn how to practice sitting and walking meditation.  This retreat is offered to youths 11-19 years of age only, to avoid any miscommunications, please only register youths within these age limitations, thank you.  At this time, we have very limited spaces for parents, if any parents are interested in staying at Bhavana Society during this retreat, please register separately using our Visitor Registration form and note you are requesting to stay during the retreat.  Please also note, we can only accept parents who’s children have already been registered and confirmed to participate.  Once these limited spaces fill to capacity, unfortunately, we will no longer be able to accept youths or parents.  Unlike other retreats, an evening snack will be served Saturday late afternoon. Bhante Jayasara, along with the monastic community will share in leading this retreat.

Registration opens at 3:00pm in the Dining Hall. Please arrive to allow enough time to complete registration here and settle in before the retreat begins. All retreats end after lunch on the last day.
Although every retreat is slightly different here is a typical retreat daily schedule.
