Visiting Bhavana Society
General Information
- Arrival Time
Overnight visitors should plan to arrive by 5:00 p.m. Limited exceptions may be possible for guests arriving by air. - Community Participation
Visitors are welcomed as members of the Bhavana community and participate in the daily life of the monastery, including meditation, chanting, cooking, cleaning, and Dhamma discussions. - Visiting Monastics
All visiting monastics must receive permission from the Vice Abbot before coming to Bhavana Society. This requirement applies to both overnight stays and day visits. - Application and Confirmation
Please submit the appropriate residency application before your intended visit. Your stay is confirmed only after your application has been reviewed and approved by Bhavana Society.
Please Note
Pets are not permitted on the monastery grounds.
Short-Term Residency
A short-term residency is for guests planning to stay at Bhavana Society for less than two weeks.
Please complete the Short-Term Resident Application for visits of less than two weeks.
Long-Term Residency
A long-term residency is for guests planning to stay at Bhavana Society for two weeks to one month.
Guests requesting a longer stay should complete the Long-Term Resident Application and allow additional time for the application to be reviewed.
